So Far So Good: Centro Being Received Well
So far, the Centro has been received very well. I don’t have one and haven’t even seen one in person, but I’ve only heard of a couple of negative things such as the battery door being hard to get off and the battery being so small. People really seem to like the form factor and the keyboard being smaller doesn’t seem to be a problem. Most of the comments I’ve heard were very positive regarding the keyboard, and users are saying that they can type as fast on the Centro as they could on their Treos. Heck, I’m sure I could type twice as fast on a Centro than I can on my iPhone. The onscreen keyboard on the iPhone looks great but man alive, it’s so annoying to type on it! I have to go so slow because it’s so easy to hit the wrong letter. The older I get, the less patience I have with such things. I can’t wait to try out the keyboard on a Centro.
I sure hope that the GSM Centro will be coming out soon! I must have one! I couldn’t get a Treo 755p because AT&T didn’t carry it and now Sprint so far has the exclusive on the Centro too. Darn it! And poor Verizon customers have gotten the shaft since the Treo 700wx came out. But the rumors did pan out as Verizon customers can now get their hands on the 755p. But think about it; now with the Centro being out there, who would really want to fork out the extra dough for a 755p when they could get almost the very same device in a Centro, and lots cheaper to boot? I would choose a Centro over a 755p anyday!
